Falcons Have Fledged – Time For Greenbelt

08July2014_1_Boise-Greenbelt_BoarderIt seems as though there never was a complete falcon season this year. Maybe that is because the Fledge Watch Teams have all seemingly been eliminated and their volunteerism is no longer needed. So sad. It was fun while it lasted.
So, we go from watching the falcons to riding the Boise Greenbelt. Maybe I will be able to locate the Osprey family that has a nest at the sports center off of State Street. I will have to really look. But I did get to add new sugar water to my Hummingbird feeders. I have only seen one this year so far. And from what I understand, the hummingbird banding in Pearl, ID in the Fall, has also been discontinued. In the meantime, here are some photos of today’s trip. Enjoy!

Must keep ones balance while on a surf board.

One will be dumped if that balance is not kept.

Great to see the teens at Quinn's Pond enjoying the cool water on a hot summer day.

Just love the ducks on Sand Creek when the sun is just poking through the trees and create a shaft of light on the Mallard. This is the second time I have been there at the right time.

  1. So nice that you two have kept us updated on the falcons! We do miss not being on a watch team so it is great that you keep us posted.
