Field Trip: Kokanee Outdoor Day

Location: Idaho City Park and along Mores Creek

Description: This family event will include a road tour along Mores Creek to view migrating Kokanee Salmon, pan for gold, look for birds and plant trees. In Idaho City, there will be music, food and activities including fishing and water play. Learn things you never knew about Idaho’s fish and rivers and enjoy a wonderful family day in Idaho’s outdoors.

Field Trip: Boise Watershed
Time: 10:00am – Noon
Location: West Boise Wastewater Treatment Plant, 11818 W Joplin Road

Description: Meet the feathered friends who call the grounds at the wastewater treatment plant home. Bring binoculars and dress for an outdoor hike. While you’re there, drop by the Boise Watershed and experience the art and science of water. Admission is free.

So there are two events that you might be interested in. I know that at the Boise Wastewater Treatment Plant there is a family of osprey. Hopefully, they may still be around. These can be exciting and fun events and I really do thank Robin and Ruthy for leading me to this information. Now I will contact the Board of the GEAS for more information.
