Mating observed

The pair of Boise Falcons have been seen copulating quite a few times this past weekend with lots of aerial manuvers… which may delay egg laying until 2-3 weeks from now – last week of April. They sure do communicate with each other and we wish we could hear them from the box camera. But if you are in Boise downtown, you will most likely hear them ‘kak – ing’ in the early morning, mid-day and/or early evening hours. Comparing last year’s photos with this year’s, I still contend that this is the same Left leg banded female – aka: Merriweather, but a different Tiercel with a Right Leg Band. Last year’s Tiercel was not banded.
