Many Peregrine Falcon cam sites have Discussion Forums. This year there seems to be more ‘floaters’ or intruders and changes of nest mates and even eggs hatching from first female’s clutch while a second female took over the nest box and hatched her own at the same time. Nature is astounding! With so many one and two year olds returning to areas from whence they fledged, I wonder if we need to build more nesting boxes to accommodate the population. As long as there are resources for food, more urban pairs may be reproducing in the near future. It would be a good thing; the survival rate may be up. Watch out pigeons …
