California Condors

We had a great time today at the World Center for Birds of Prey – The Peregrine Fund. They introduced a select few people to their new Condor Habitat. It is awesome!!! The public opportunity to see this new habitat area will be tomorrow, Saturday 5 June. You really should see this.

We also had a great time seeing Jack Caferty, and talking to Bill Heinrich and Cal and Michelle Sandfort. All are employees of the Peregrine Fund. I worked for Bill Heinrich in the late 1980’s on peregrine releases.

But do take into consideration, supporting this program to save the California Condors. Most of us know that the peregrine falcon will lay 3-5 eggs per year. The California Condor, on the other hand, lays one egg every other year.

Thanks and Keep Looking Up!
