Cold Weather On The Greenbelt

Actually a seemingly cold – 38 degrees F – day. Trying to snow or rain or sleet. And then there are the detours on the Greenbelt as they are making new sections.

But the winter birds are still around. To the left, a Great Blue Heron perched. I saw at least three Bald Eagles but too far out of range for the camera. Or hidden in the trees.

Common Merganser in flight is hard to capture. They “… fly faster than a speeding bullet.”

And these little guys, Belted Kingfisher, seem to be all around this winter. The walk was longer, about 4 miles today, than this “picture show”. But there is still time. Cheers!
