A Cold Greenbelt Excursion

Actually, a good day to bike the Boise Greenbelt. Although cold, 17 degrees F and winds WNW@5mph and the Wind Chill at 14 degrees F, if you dressed warm, it was good!

And there were these beautiful Common Mergansers, left photo. Many of them along with Mallard Ducks, Canada Geese, Red-Tailed Hawks, Northern Flickers and the ever present Magpies. I even saw some American Robins.

In theory, it’s supposed to be spring soon – 20 March – and the days are supposed to be getting longer. It’s great to be walking and see the red buds showing of the maple trees. Or the dull brown of the willows turning to the green/yellow that they show in the Spring. I guess I need patience! Cheers!
