Spring on the Greenbelt

A beautiful day to ride the Boise Greenbelt – 73 deg F and winds SW@6. The river is very high and I was not sure if I could make “my rounds”, but everything was OK. It looks like most of the birds or nesting, as their numbers were down. Some Mallards and Canada Geese, but not in hight numbers. Even the songbirds were few. But here are some that I did see. Left-Click the photos for a full screen view. Enjoy!

The Boise River is running very high, swift and cold. It is eroding this bank.

Someone has made this chair and put two nice pots along side of it.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Double Crested Cormorant sitting in a tree.

Red-Winged Blackbird

Rough landing for a Canada Goose.

Keep Looking Up! The Boise Peregrines are devoted nowadays to incubating their brood. We only see them occasionally and mostly in the later afternoon.
