Fall Is In The Air!

Maybe when the Autumn Equinox happens, tomorrow, 23 September, things will start to turn colors faster. I know our walnut tree is getting fringes of brown and the maples are starting red and gold. And then there are always the Praying Mantis’s. Always looking for a mate and a place to lay their eggs. This one was close! She is watching!
And then on the Boise Greenbelt, the Flickers seem to be gone, as do the Red-Winged and Yellow Shouldered Blackbirds. Haven’t seen any Kingfishers for a while. But the Canada Geese are back in numbers. The Wood Ducks (pictured below) seem to be more visible nowadays.
Take a look at some of what I found this morning while riding my bike. Cheers and Keep Looking Up!
