Fall Visitors in the Backyard

I have seen the Downy Woodpeckers in the neighborhood, but it’s been a while – 2 or 3 years since I saw one here. The Northern Flicker is more common and the Cooper’s Hawk – left – seems to be “hanging around”. Plentiful resource? Looking at the number of pigeons and Mourning Doves around the house, along with the Sparrows and Finches, I’d say he has a culinary choice. I saw him today, but did not get a “new” photo. This is one from my library. Enjoy the photos.

Downey Woodpecker (DOWO). Sorry for the lousy photo.
